Music in the Round - Children's Christmas Concert

Being a mountain goat is no fun when you are scared of heights! Stand poor Giddy on a mountain ledge and his head starts spinning and his knees turn to jelly.

Commissioned for Ensemble 360 and Polly Ives (narrator), this action-packed musical story written by Jamie Rix and Lynne Chapman, and set to music by well renowned Scottish composer Paul Rissmann includes a game of rock rounders, a musical mutton, a clambering clarinet and a baa-ing bassoon.

Woodwind Masterclass with Julie Price

Bassoonist Julie Price will lead a masterclass for young musicians who play any woodwind instrument at Grade 5 and aboce. Participants will perform a short work and recieve feedback and encouragement about their performance from one of the best musicians in their field.

Julie held the position of Principal Bassoon with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. She is now Principal Bassoon with the English Chamber Orchestra and Co-Principal Bassoon with the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
